🪲 Join us for a special Cacao Ceremony as part of the public program for Donna Huanca’s exhibition UTOPIC CELLS at Zuzeum Art Centre. This unique event offers an opportunity to explore the rich traditions of cacao while enjoying a vibrant atmosphere that blends art and community.

📅 Wednesday, October 30 at 5:30–7:00 PM
🎟️ The participation fee is 30 EUR. Tickets here.
🗣️ The event will be held in both English and Latvian

The evening will begin with a guided tour of Donna Huanca’s exhibition UTOPIC CELLS, led by an art mediator, providing deeper insights into her work and artistic vision. Following the tour, you’ll participate in the Cacao Ceremony.

During the ceremony, you will have the opportunity to enjoy cacao, a traditional drink revered by the Mayans, Aztecs, and other Central American cultures. Beyond its use as a beverage, cacao was considered sacred and played a key role in rituals and ceremonies. Natural cacao is rich in antioxidants and minerals, known to enhance mood, relax the body, and provide warmth. It also promotes heart health, making it a powerful companion for both physical and spiritual well-being. Today, the tradition of ceremonial cacao continues to evolve, offering a modern way to connect with its ancient roots.

To conclude the experience, participants will be guided through a calming meditation practice, helping to ground the energy of the ceremony.

This special Cacao Ceremony will take place in Zuzuem’s Living room and will complement the immersive themes and sensory experiences of Huanca’s work.
