🎉 Zuzeum Art Centre is pleased to invite you to the finissage weekend – closing of summer season exhibitions ‘Straight, No Chaser’ and ‘Grotto Far From the Sea’.
Different events will take place in honor of the exhibitions: tours with creators, rooftop party at Kork Bar and a final chord – boat launching into the ‘Painful Sunset’.
✨ Events are free of extra charge. Events at the exhibition hall are available with an exhibition entrance ticket.

17:00 Tour by text-group Orbita group at ‘Grotto Far From the Sea’
18:00 Tour by research group La Méditerranée at ‘Straight, No Chaser’
19:00 Performance “Save The Last Dance For Me” by artists Andris Grīnbergs and Kaspars Zborovskis at the exhibition halls. More information about the performance here.

24th of August:
20:00 ‘Painful Sunset’ by La Méditerranée in Jūrmala. Location will be announced later.
📍Bulduri beach, (36. līnija, Jūrmala).
Three cameras record a sailing boat stranded on the Baltic shore; three flare sets combine with the clouds into a seascape. This moving image is also still. Thought of as a threefold painting, it is a never-changing, alwaysrepeating image: a boat arriving, a boat about to depart. Movement meets stillness in the daily and though eternal cycle of the sun setting down. The boat is an artwork (in action) by Edgar Sarin. ‘Painful Sunset’ is an apotropaic gesture, and ‘Straight, No Chaser’ closure.
