📆 July 20, 5 PM
🫖 In the penultimate week of the exhibition Celebrate Porcelain with Kuznetsov – July 25 at 17.00 – we invite you to a tour of the exhibition with the collector, patron, founder of the Zuzeum Art Centre Jānis Zuzāns and applied art collection care team Annija Grīsle and Jevgēnija Hamudajeva.
The tour will reveal the behind-the-scenes of the life of the collection – how and why objects enter the collection, how they are selected, how important it is to navigate the art world, why fakes enter the collection, what the collector thinks about before saying the decisive word: “I take it!” and what secret stories do some of the objects in the exhibition hide?

The story of Kuznetsov porcelain in Zuzāns Collection began with a decorative dish “Wedding” by Romans Suta. Although the initial focus was only on works that could be classified as art porcelain, over time the collection expanded to include a wide variety of objects made in the Kuznetsov factories as examples of the industrial production of the era. Today, it has developed into a magnificent, multifaceted collection that shows diverse artistic and technical aspects of porcelain production.
