Latvian National Museum of Art presents Harmonious Collision, the first retrospective exhibition of the internationally recognized contemporary fashion label FYODOR GOLAN which will be held at the Museum Storage Facility in Riga until September 1, 2024. It is an interdisciplinary contemporary cultural project that showcases Latvia’s role in global design processes.

The concept of the exhibition Harmonious Collision is based on the notion of a harmonious collision – an expressive force, originating from a creative clash of seemingly incompatible personalities, ideas, shapes, colors and textures in the brand’s approach. The over 120 garments and accessories on display offer visitors a chance to explore the evolution of FYODOR GOLAN’s artistic journey through Fyodor’s personal perspective, spanning from 2009 to 2022.
Founded in London in 2009 by designers Fyodor Podgorny from Latvia and Golan Frydman from Israel, the brand FYODOR GOLAN has gained widespread recognition and resonance in the fashion industry and international press thanks to the duo’s contemporary baroque aesthetic. The exuberant aesthetics have captured the attention of celebrities like Madonna, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, and Ariana Grande. Outfits custom-created for these stars will be on display, alongside Fyodor’s collaborations with Kristine Opolais, Margarita and Kristine Balanas, Krista Dzudzilo, and others.
