❄️ Postcard to Yourself with Līga Cepurīte
📅 Saturday, December 7, 1 pm–3 pm
🎟️ Admission fee – 25 EUR. Limited number of participants – 15.
🗣️ The workshop will be held in Latvian and English
Zuzeum Art Centre invites you to a relaxation workshop led by art therapist Līga Cepurīte. Participants will explore the collage technique to create personal “wish postcards” that encapsulate their hopes for a peaceful and harmonious holiday season and New Year. A postcard is a miniature art form through which we express our care, wishes, encouragement, and warmth to others. This time we will create it for ourselves, letting our imagination run wild and bringing it to life with the help of a variety of materials – paper of different textures, pictures, magazine cut-outs, stationery, and even coloured beads.
Līga shares her insight: “People realize their desires when they start with one thing. The format of a postcard forces you to make a choice. Then all you have to do is give it movement in your life.”
The session encourages attendees to consider themselves as their closest friend, pondering the question: What would you wish for yourself this Christmas?
All necessary materials will be provided on-site.
Līga Cepurīte is an art therapist and art enthusiast who shares her perspective on the creative process: “For me, the art process is an inner resource where I learn to use what I have, to transform, to create from mistakes, and to apply what I know in a new way. It is an exciting self-creation that I invite others to participate in.”
❄️ Gesture of Material with Studio SIJA (Kristiāna Erta and Artūrs Tols)

Plaster is a uniquely versatile material, known for its adaptability and ability to transform into various shapes. Its widespread use across industries—from architecture to food production and even agriculture—stems from this flexibility. Plaster achieves its final form through the manufacturing process, giving creators the power to manipulate and shape it.
In this workshop, participants will explore the potential of plaster as a medium, transforming their sketches into three-dimensional objects. You’ll learn essential techniques like adding tonality to plaster, creating molds for casting, and turning your ideas into tangible creations.
This hands-on experience will allow you to experiment with the material’s transformative properties and explore the relationship between sketches and their physical, final forms. Join us and bring your creative vision to life!
All materials for the workshop will be provided. To ensure a comfortable and stress-free creative process, we recommend bringing clothes that you’re not afraid to get dirty or a change of clothes, as plaster can be messy. This will allow you to fully immerse yourself in the hands-on experience without worrying about keeping your clothes clean!
Studio SIJA is an architects’ studio founded in 2022 by Kristiāna Erta and Artūrs Tols. The studio is interested in the creation of spatial experiences that encourage the viewer to be more present. Using user experience and conceptual research as a foundation, we strive for an architecture formed from connections of the everyday and the unusual.
